The Little Sandy River and Grayson Lake

With the warm weather almost gone, the election over, the US economy tanking....A good river trip calls louder than ever. Its been maybe 12 to 15 years since we've been down the Little Sandy way in eastern Coal Field Kentucky and our friends from the eastern part of the state were itching for a trip. A trip Lee could paddle his new wooden boat on, So this seemed like the place.. Sorry Lee, but a boat like that does demand deep water, yet we wanted a river...So I think the Little sandy was a pretty Damn good choice! Pictures

What a great crew and what a great trip. We actually solved all the worlds problems on Friday night over a bottle of Woodford (Damn Republicans!), and the weather was the best!

So where do we go from here? Do we wait till the Annual Beavercreek trip? I kinda think we'll be out before then. And of course Freehawk is chanting about a paddling trip down toward Florida, maybe in February? I guess we'll just see...

Yes Judd it was a great trip. The campsite was almost perfect. The canoe Lee built was even better!
Thanks for all the arm twisting it took to make me come along.
